Sessions pres. Steve Angello & Jody Wisternoff: Fri 22nd Sep 2006 ... @ Motion, Northampton
It all kicked off for Steve Angello when he released ‘Woz
not Woz’ alongside fellow Swede, Eric Prydz in 2004. It was
released on CR2 Recordings and elevated Steve to one of the most
in demand producers, remixers and djs of 2005. This year alone has
seen Steve have two top 5 club hits, remix Royksopp and Deep Dish and
release a Subliminal Sessions CD. In addition to all this, Steve
appeared on Radio 1 with Pete Tong, and has since been asked back
to record an exclusive Essential Mix. At 22 years old, Steve has
earned the reputation of a consistently fresh talent, a vehicle
for which is his label, Size Records. |
 |
Jody Wisternoff is something
of a seasoned veteran. With an impressive career that spans 14
years to date, Jody has achieved commercial success and critical
acclaim as a producer, remixer and DJ. A brief meeting between
Nick Warren and Jody resulted in ‘Way Out West’. As Way Out West
became more established DJ work went from nationwide to
international. Regular trips to the US, South America, Asia and
Australia have ensured that Jody's blend of dance music is always
heard. Constantly at the cutting edge, embracing exciting and new
sounds, whilst shunning the populist/lowest common denominator
floor fodder, Jody's passion for music keeps him ahead of the
game. The future sure is bright.... catch both DJ's set's at
Sessions on the 22nd September. Along with sets from Sessions
residents Anya and Dom Almond. Planet Rocka resident Ian Charles
plays a 5 hour 'Back To Love' set in the club's Bassment Bar. |

Rocka Vs Electric Boogaloo pres. The Streetlife DJ's: Saturday 2nd
September 2006 ... @ Motion, Northampton
Stewart Rowell & Louis Gaston aka
The
Streetlife DJ's were quoted by DJ magazine as ''the UK's very
own 2ManyDJ's!''. A tag they're not unhappy about. Stewart has
been DJ'ing for over 15 years and producing since he met Louis. A
former resident at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza he has
been a guest DJ at Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance & Gatecrasher,
played several Homelands and toured internationally at Space & Pacha (Ibiza), Limelight (NYC), Avalon (Boston) and the Liquid
Room (Tokyo). |
 |
The Streetlife attitude is quite simple... this is an
entertainment industry, so they want to entertain, they want to
put smiles on faces and hands in the air. There are no rules in a
Streetlife set. They add samples, accapellas & sound fx to the
equation. Compliment that with some of the most cutting edge
electronic dance and the result is something quite exciting and
definitely refreshing. 'Don't believe the hype' ... music is fun!
There ain't no party like a streetlife party and you're all
invited.
DJ support on the night comes from Ian Charles, Disco Pistols,
Andy J, Derek Gray, Motion resident Andy Atkinson and more.
As always click on the DJ's pics opposite for more info.
